Burnerbinmah Station

Burnerbinmah is located in southwest Western Australia a distance of about 380km north-northeast from Perth  Burnerbinmah is at an altitude of approximately 304m. The nearest ocean is the Indian Ocean about 240km west-southwest of Burnerbinmah.

The pastoral lease was taken up in 1878, and with seven adjoining leases make the lease as it is today. In 1884 a mud brick home was built at the head of Mongers Lake and is incorporated in the present day homestead. The Station was grazed, mainly with sheep, and some cattle and horses, from the 1890s until de-stocked in 1995.

 Burnerbinmah Station was purchased by the Department of Conservation and Land Management in 1995, when the pastoral lease was transferred to the Department.

The Station covers about 59 908 hectares and is situated approximately 70 km south-west of Mount Magnet and 270 km due east of Geraldton in Western Australia. It lies within in the Shire of Yalgoo between Yalgoo, Mount Magnet and Paynes Find.
