2016 Yalgoo Emu Cup Fun Day & Family Concert
On Saturday 8 October the Shire of Yalgoo is hosting the 2016 Yalgoo Emu Cup Fun Day & Family Concert
The ‘Emu Cup’ is an exciting and novel annual event that is held in Yalgoo at the Old Railway Sporting Complex on the Geraldton – Mount Magnet Road.
The 2016 Yalgoo Emu Cup Fun Day & Family Concert is a unique event full of interesting and different activities including competitive emu themed races and competitions for children and adults. The Emu Cup features an array of novelty emu costume races, a small sculpture competition, local and imported live music and an explosion of arts activities and spectacular fireworks.
The 2016 Yalgoo Emu Cup Fun Day & Family Concert promises to be a highlight of the Yalgoo 2016 events calendar.
Although preliminary activities such as kid’s workshops will be starting early, the formalities for the day’s program do not commence later in the day when some short speeches will be made before the official ‘race’ program commences. The race program and awards ceremony will be at approximately 5.00 pm before an evening concert along with a spectacular fireworks display. The 2016 Yalgoo Emu Cup Fun Day & Family Concert concludes at 10.00 pm.
Everyone is invited to compete in the wacky emu themed races or the dance, music and craft workshops on the day or simply to be here to be entertained by the live music from Junkadelic, Bryte, Act Soul Sisters the Merindas and wonderful entertainment program..
